But No One Said This Would Be Easy
It’s hard to believe that it has already been 4 weeks since the governor of Ohio ordered the closing of our schools – the beginning of what some might say was social distancing.
I’m sure that was a tough call for him to make but based on where we are today with the COVID-19 virus, I believe It was the right one.
And today as we continue to see many businesses shut down and those out of work struggling to make ends meet, we are just now beginning to see a little light at the end of the tunnel.
A light that will come none too soon for all of us.
But no one said beating this silent but deadly virus would be easy.
This country has been through tough times before and when we’ve come out of it, we’ve become a stronger and more united people. This will be no different.
We will learn from our mistakes.We will be better prepared for the next virus and we will look back and see all the good that came out of this tough time.
I believe this because in a time when we were becoming more divided in this country by our differences, we are now seeing those differences set aside and people working together for a better tomorrow.
We see it on the news, on the internet and we see it firsthand in our neighborhoods – people helping other people get through this tough time.
I hope when everyone gets back to work, we continue to look out for one another and carry this on into the workplace.
For those of you who are still working and having to deal with the daily concern of being exposed to this virus, please continue to do all that you can to protect yourself and your fellow workers.Use the PPE you are provided and practice social distancing as best you can.
