5 Simple Safety Tips
Today with all the policies and regulations out there, sometimes we all get a little overwhelmed and maybe even a little defiant.
And when it comes to workplace safety, we all know there are a lot of policies and regulations.
Since no one could possible remember all of them, how do we make sure everyone goes home at the end of the workday in the same condition they arrived?
I’ve thought about that for years and here is what I’ve come up with.
Here are 5 simple safety tips that, when used together, will help ensure everyone goes home at the end of the day in the same condition they arrived.
- Understand the work you will be performing today, the hazards associated with that work and what it will take to protect yourself from those hazards.
- Make sure you have the required tools to get the job done safely and they are in good working order.
- Be sure to have the necessary PPE with you to get the job done safely, make sure it’s in good working order and use it.
- Watch out for unexpected hazards and eliminate potential exposure.
- Help others to recognize workplace hazards and let them know if they are exposing you or themselves to a potential accident.
Workplace safety doesn’t have to be complicated or difficult. The policies and regulations that are in place are there for a reason – to help protect us from ourselves.
But if everyone would follow these 5 safety tips each and every workday, the workplace would be a safer one for all.
