Why Is That?

Have you ever gone on the Internet and typed in something like, “workplace accident pictures waiting to happen?”

If not, you should. Because you will see some pictures that you won’t believe.

You’ll see some that show about every type of dangerous ladder situation possible. Workers on ladders being held up by forklifts, people, and yes, even a shopping cart or two.

Men working high in the air on about every type of heavy construction equipment possible and those working directly under heavy loads and equipment.

You might even see the one where the law enforcement officer is leaning back using his rifle as a seat with the barrel of his gun holding him up.

And even a man putting up a “Think Safety First” sign straddling a set of handrails.

Although many of these pictures are from other countries, there is no question that some are from the U.S.Some may be staged, but they’re still dangerous.

The reality of all these funny pictures is that if you had the ability to see what goes on in the workplace throughout the U.S. on a daily basis, you would see many of these same situations taking place.

Why is that?

Because even with the increased emphasis on workplace safety today, we still have those who will do just about anything to get the job done.

And if they don’t have the right equipment to do it safely, they’ll put something together even if it could put them in the hospital or worse.

But there is one way to help prevent this from happening at your workplace. That is to make sure you have the right equipment available to do the job right and safely.

So, today before you start work, make sure you have the right tools and equipment to get the job done safely. You won’t regret it.
